This time, it’s all about finishing the year with vigour and setting the stage for a triumphant start to the new year. Let’s dive into the mini plan I’ve been advocating, which revolves around three critical areas.

1. Securing Listings for the First Quarter
The end of January and early February are crucial for launching new listings. The key here is to be proactive. I’ve been reconnecting with my pipeline, and I suggest you do the same. It’s not just about touching base; it’s about finding compelling reasons for your clients to commit now.

Consider the pre-Christmas market – often, this period is ripe with opportunities. Some of the best deals are struck in the days leading up to Christmas. If your clients are looking to buy in the new year, why not get a head start? A two-stage approach can be particularly effective, capitalising on the pent-up demand from buyers.

However, if meeting before Christmas isn’t feasible, don’t lose heart. Pencil in those meetings for the first week back. It’s about keeping the momentum and ensuring you’re not starting the new year playing catch-up.

2. Focusing on Your Longer-Term Pipeline
Once you’ve re-engaged with your immediate pipeline, turn your attention to those with a three to six-month horizon. A simple, yet powerful question works wonders here: “Has anything changed since we last spoke?” You’d be surprised how often people’s circumstances or plans have evolved. This step can uncover hidden opportunities and might bring some plans forward.

3. Tidying Up Loose Ends
The final two weeks of the year are perfect for housekeeping. This isn’t just about physical tidiness; it’s about mental clarity. Clear your inbox, wrap up overdue tasks, and refine your personal marketing plan for the upcoming quarter. Closing these loops ensures you start the new year focused and unburdened by the previous year’s clutter.

Conclusion
In Episode 106 of “Coaching On The Go, you’ll discover that by focusing on three main areas, you’re not just ending the year on a high note; you’re also laying the groundwork for a successful start to the new year. It’s about being strategic, proactive, and organised. This approach has always worked for me, and I’m confident it can make a significant difference for you too.

As we wrap up, remember, the goal is not just professional success. It’s also about enjoying your break, free from stress and anxiety. Clear the decks, get ahead, and you’ll find yourself in a much better position to enjoy the holidays and kickstart the new year.

I hope you find this mini plan helpful. Implement it, and I’m sure you’ll see the benefits. Here’s to a strong finish to this year and an even stronger start to the next!
