We are in the middle of a real crisis situation, especially for those currently in lockdown. Right now questions are coming up for my clients around ‘what if the Real Estate market takes a dive’? What if I don’t list and sell as many properties as I had planned for at the beginning of this financial year?
All of these what-ifs that keep coming up do nothing but derail you from what you can do and from what you can control, which is what you can do today. All you can look at is what you can do today.
If you are stuck use these three tools:
1. Avoid the what-ifs & come back to today
The minute your internal conversation starts on the what-if questioning, bring yourself back to today. Stop looking into the future, as we just need to get through today.
2. Eliminate the noise first thing in the morning
Make sure you are giving yourself the best opportunity to have energy, motivation and to feel good every day. To do this you may need to stop looking at the news first thing in the morning. All the news you will need throughout the day will get to you, so try to steer clear of it in the morning.
3. Achieve just one objective every day to move you closer to your goals
Think about what would be the number one objective you would like to get done today. Write it up, first thing in the morning. The sense of accomplishment that you will feel after completing just one thing will help to get you through.
