Here is another Coaching on the Go Moment from real estate coach Caroline Bolderston.

Have you ever had the situation where you’ve been in your car, and you see a past client of yours and you wave at them out the window?

You could be walking down the street but they’re with people and you literally just do a quick wave hello.

Then you think to yourself, I wonder what they’re up to. I wish I could’ve stopped and talked to them!

Are you following up?

I wanted to prompt your thinking around this. Most clients that I speak in these situations aren’t following up.

I really feel that this is a brilliant opportunity for you to make a note the minute something like that happens.

Whether you’re in the car, or on your way somewhere else, make a note and follow up with a direct phone call to that person within five working days.

It’s your opportunity!

You basically say:

“Hey it’s Caroline Bolderston here, and I was waving at you madly the other day. I just was thinking about you and I thought I have some time and I wanted to check in and see what are you guys up to?”

Literally, follow up with a phone call.

It’s a bit like when you put a DL card in a letterbox or you’re sending out a newsletter.

Always follow up with a direct conversation because I’m a huge believer that every minute of every day your whole approach to getting to know new clients, building relationships with your past clients is just get curious.

Get curious about where they’re at, what they’re doing, no matter how long ago it was that you had any dealings with them.

Really come from a genuine place to find out what’s going on.

They might just need your help!
