With many lockdowns and restrictions in place around Australia, keeping focused and motivated is so important. I wanted to share today the concept of having ‘daily top threes’. This involves sending someone an SMS every morning with what you want your top three outcomes for the day to be. Go out on the record so it will motivate and inspire you to stay focused and productive. It is crucial to find someone who is going to support you in this, whether it be a coach, a colleague or a friend.

Here are some ideas of what your daily top threes could look like.

  1. Exert yourself. Get active. Raise a sweat. This is how you are going to feel better, think more clearly and it will get you on the go.
  2. Kick off your first five conversations at 9am. Begin at 9am with a list of the top five people that matter the most to you/are the most critical and check in with them. Do not hold back. An example of the dialogue could be (if they’re in lockdown) – “I know you’re in lockdown, but I still want to reach out to you and let you know we are here to guide you and get you prepared”.  The spring market is fast approaching, so use that in your conversations. You could say – “Given that you wanted to be sold or come to market by spring, what can we be doing to get you prepared for that? Is there any paperwork that we need to get sorted out?” etc.
  3.  Start a project or initiative. This could be something like updating your 0-90 day pipeline. Know who is on your pipeline. You could map out your marketing for the next quarter. Reach out to your past purchasers – do you have any anniversary calls to make?

These are just a few suggestions for you to stay ahead. Daily top threes are fantastic. Get that SMS to somebody who can help you keep accountable. Let’s keep focused and moving ahead. This time will pass and where do you want to be when it does?
