Success lies in the gaps that you leave, so don’t fall short at 50%, finish what you start by applying commitment, focus and urgency.

My question today is, does your success lie in the gaps that you’re leaving?

What I mean by that is that I’m seeing a recurring pattern.

Often my agents say to me, “Yes, I started that”, whatever that might be.
This could be a certain number of hours a day committed to business building conversations or certain listing activities that they needed to complete in order to get the property closer to sale or whether it be leveraging off a listing and all the activities around that.

What I’m hearing is, that agents are starting processes or activities or tasks, but for some reason letting themselves off the hook and just not completing them.

Are you leaving gaps?

What that means is you’re leaving a gap. I truly believe that the elite agents in this industry are the ones who do not stop too soon.

And that has to be something that you look at right now.

Why stop where you’re stopping?

If you’re saying, I did about 50% of it or it’s okay I called through about 35% of that list.

Break the Patterns

Why are you stopping short and what do you need to do about it today to change this recurring pattern?

This could be absolutely the difference between you hitting your goals, reaching all targets, having the best day, the best week, the best month and quarter that you can have, if you simply ramped up the urgency and the focus it’s going to take, to follow through on these key activities that you know you need to be doing.

Next time I have one of my clients say this to me, don’t worry I’m going to be going for it and saying we have to break this pattern.
