What are your clients waiting for? What is the event that will trigger the decision to come to market?
If your pipeline is waiting for an external event (the election or the end of the financial year) get commitment now and take care of the preparation for listing. If you don’t do this, someone else will!

The election is around the corner

We are in May and there is an election just around the corner and many of my clients right now are all saying the same thing:

“My pipeline is just waiting for the election to be over, and then they’ll look to come to market”.

If you’re in that same situation, then what you need to do is make sure that you prompt, encourage and guide your clients to be ready the minute that election is done.

They can then press the button and go to market!

This situation is similar to the pre-spring rush or the New Year situation, where you basically get your client signed up and get all of the production done now.

Take your time to get the photos right, the styling right, get the garden’s looking great.

Get all of that done now, so they’re ready to go the minute either the election is over in this case, or whatever the next milestone trigger is.

Secure the business now!

As an agent, it is your responsibility to secure business, and it is important that you lock in your pipeline, then they actually are secured with you for when the time is right.

Therefore, if the election is playing games with you, I’d be calling every single one of my pipeline clients who has said that to you and book the appointment today for a meeting. Sign the paperwork and get the production done.
